The Basics

  • Wood windows were originally crafted to last forever.  We take on that same philosophy

  • The sash are build using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, the frames use a dado joint

  • Our species of choice is FSC-certified Eastern White Pine, as it is most traditional and native to our area.  Other choices include, but are not limited to, Oak and Mahogany

  • Low-E, argon filled insulated glass units, glazed into sash with silicone (can be removed in case of failure)

The Details

  • Zinc weather-stripping at the jambs and neoprene bulb weather-stripping at the meeting rail and bottom rail

  • Interior muntin grids to match interior profile and exterior muntin grid to mimic putty glazing

  • The sash can be hung on sash cords with weight-pockets or utilize channel balances

  • Single-pane glass with true-divided lites can be used for more historic applications
